Megan

With over a decade of experience behind the chair, I find my love and passion for the industry is only continuously growing. I specialize in lived in bonding and extensions. I take pride in transforming women's looks with my skills honed over many years. Since being in the industry I have had the opportunity to travel the country for various technique classes, while also creating my own educational videos. My passion for business has led me to be the owner of the two salon locations here in Sycamore; MC Beauty and The Studio. 
 
Confession: When I am not in the salon you can often find me late at night in my kitchen attempting to bake something new. My love for baking definitely outweighs my talent for it, taste testing my sweet treats is always "at your own risk."

Mattea  

Hello! My name is Mattea Elliot & I'm proud to be a hairstylist here at MC Beauty. Although I'm passionate about all things hair, I find myself most in my element when I'm giving someone that lived in blonde they've been dying for. I take pride in the fact that I'm always passionate & hungry to grow. I'm very excited to see where my career will take me, & all the amazing people I will meet along the way.
 
When I'm not at the salon, you'll probably find me with my nose in a book, in the kitchen, spending time with loved ones, or working on achieving my green thumb (I'll have it someday). 

Hannah

Hi! I’m Hannah. From a young age, I’ve been drawn to hairstyling and love being able to express my creativity through my work. I love the endless opportunities to grow in the industry; and staying up to date with the latest trends and techniques to provide my guests with the best experience. 
 
When I’m not doing hair, I'm usually spending time with my friends & family, listening to true crime podcasts, or getting lost watching satisfying hair videos. 

Sophia

Sophia focuses on Holistic Based Facials and Peels, Dermaplaning, Waxing, Brow Laminations, Lash Lifts, and Tinting. MC Beauty is now using Green Envee, a plant active luxury skincare line designed to nourish your skin form the inside, out!

Jess

My life has been nothing short of interesting. I have experienced it all. Loss, pain, beauty, miracles. I have really had to work at finding myself and my purpose. I always knew I wanted to work with people, I just didn't know what way. I have always enjoyed creating. I love painting, ceramics, and design. I also have a deep love for nature and an appreciation for life and all it's connection.
 
Being young I needed to jump into a direction that would allow me to be free in some of these areas of interest and I landed in cosmetology school. I was the happiest I had ever been. I got to work with all walks of life, be creative, and pull inspiration from the things I love.
 
I became a mom after only a few years in the industry and then quickly became a wife and mom of three. I have spent the last 9 years learning, growing, changing, adapting, and discovering more about myself and this life. I have been pulled in all directions but one path remains clear for me and that is doing hair.
 
This industry has been constant for me, a real anchor. I am so excited to continue creating. I'm so excited to work with people in a town that raised me and to curate confidence, beauty, and a sense of well-being. My name is Jess Haka and I can't wait to work with you. 

Taylor

Taylor's favorite part about being a stylist is seeing her clients walk out with more confidence and she loves to do blonding/lived-in color services.

Mollie

Hi, I'm Mollie. I fell into hair school when I was 20 because my mom told me I needed to be well rounded and doing makeup wasn't enough. I ended up loving the entire beauty industry and can't imagine my life otherwise!

Making people feel authentic to themselves in whatever hairstyle they dig really inspires me; I myself have been really into mullets and shags lately. When I'm not doing hair you can usually find me watching cartoons with my dogs, playing video games, or singing along with my favorite musicals.

Maria

Hello! My name is Maria and I am a stylist here at M.C. Beauty. Ever since I was little, I wanted to have a job that had creativity but didn’t know what to look for. I stumbled upon the cosmetology program during high school and love what I chose! 
 
Definitely was the best decision I made. I love to connect with clients and make people feel beauty from the inside and out. I’m so excited to see we’re my journey takes me!

Myranda 

I'm Myranda, and I'm 20 years old and recently graduated from cosmetology school! For as long as I can remember I have always wanted to be a hairstylist and I'm living my dream doing this!
 
I am a stylist here at M.C. Beauty and it's the best environment. It has been great learning space. I have also been a dancer for a majority of my life and now work at a studio in Rochelle, Studio C Dance.
 
It's my passion to help people feel the best they can through both their hair and dance. I hope to grow into the best stylist I can be for all. 

Madi

Hello! My name is Madi Peters, I’m 20 years old and I am a licensed Esthetician here at M.C. Beauty! 
 
I’ve been in love with makeup and skin care ever since I was a little girl. However being an Esthetician wasn’t always what I wanted with my life. After high school I went into nursing school and later on decided that wasn’t what I wanted to do. I did a lot of research about being coming an Esthetician and immediately knew this is what I wanted. I then graduated Esthetician school March of 2023 and I’m loving every second. I have always admired the beauty industry and the amazing opportunities that come along with it!
 
I am so excited to jump start my career here at M.C. Beauty and help clients through their skin care journey! Everyone deserves to feel comfortable and confident in their own skin:)

Raegan

Hey! My name is Raegan and a little bit about me is ever since I was a little girl I have been practicing hair on all of my friends and family. Once I took the first real step into the beauty industry I knew it was meant for me!
 
My favorite part of being a hairstylist is being able to help people feel like the best version of themselves and boost their self esteem! Being able to connect with clients from different walks of life is one of the beautiful things of being a hairstylist that I love! I am so excited to be taking new clients!
 
If I’m ever not in the salon you can find me at a thrift store, doing one of my many hobbies, or giving attention to my kitties!

McKayla

My names Mckayla! I am an associate here at MC. You’ll either catch me as Mollie's wing women or behind the chair taking clients!! I’m so thankful to have found such a great work atmosphere where I get to do what I love. I have always loved what this industry represents and even more appreciation for its continuous evolution!
 
When I’m not in the salon I’m typically with friends or family or aimlessly shopping for things I don’t actually need! I can’t wait to see some of you in my chair(:

Ang

Hi! My name is Angelina and I am an associate here at M.C. Beauty. I am 19 years old and eager to learn everything about hair. It has been awesome working alongside my educator Hannah! I have always loved doing hair and I am so happy to be a part of the M.C. Beauty family.

Outside of the salon I can be found with my fellow associate Jackie, or with other friends going on adventures. I enjoy the outdoors, meeting new people, and finding ways to be creative!

Alyson

Hi, I’m Alyson, and I am a stylist here at M.C. beauty! I have been in the industry for a little over 4 years. I have always loved being able to express my creativity, and doing hair allows me to be able to express that creative freedom. I love doing vivids, lived in blonding, and love to do fun hair cuts.
 
When I’m not in the salon you can find me making a mess in the kitchen, playing with my dogs, in the gym, or curled up reading a good book.

Madelynne

Hi, I’m Madelynne! I am an associate at MC Beauty Salon! You can find me behind the chair or working alongside my educator, Hannah! I am creative, passionate, and use hairstyling as a means to express myself. I love providing custom color, haircuts, and special occasion styling. Making people feel beautiful, empowered, and refreshed is what motivates me!
 
I like to joke that my love for hairstyling started when I was 4 years old after chopping all my cousin’s hair off with craft scissors! It then developed into styling all my friends’ hair in high school, attending beauty school, and becoming licensed!
 
When I’m not at the salon, I am most likely with my Bernese mountain dog, Indie girl. Or you can find me practicing piano and singing! I also love a good thriller movie and am obsessed with root beer and chai tea lattes!

Jackie

Hi, My name is Jackie! I started doing hair when I was a lot younger and would experiment on all my willing friends hair, so naturally it evolved into doing hair for a profession!
 
I tend to consider myself a creative person and have passion for anything involving art. I always strive to be learning new things and trying out new ways of doing things to expand my personal limits!

Morgan

My name is Morgan and I am the Manager of MC Beauty. If you get a call from the salon or see a post on our Instagram, it's probably me!

With my background in social media and marketing, it has been so fun learning all about the beauty industry from our stylists and estheticians. They are all kind, super talented, and have so much valuable information to offer their clients. It's my goal to make sure our online voice reflects that!

When I'm not at the salon, I'm usually at rehearsal preparing for my next musical or at the gym (can you tell I like to stay busy?) But don't worry, I always find time to enjoy some cheesy reality TV with my sweet kitty cat on the couch!
